What is this story about?

IT is about the broken bond between a dad and a daughter and the journey they take to mend it. It is also a story about distorted love, and how difficult it is to recognize it when that's the only kind of love you know.

This story takes place during a cold winter in a little port town of Hokkaido. We are back in the 90s, there is a wind of economic uncertainty, a slight rise in delinquency, and naive optimism. It is also before every kid had a cellphone, when your memories were your own.

Emi is our little anti-hero. She is a little weirdo who is a ball of emotions and has no clue what to do with them. But when Emi was little, her dad was her hero, and she was his heart. Fast forward into adolescence, and any attempt to connect almost always ends in tears, or screams. And in an attempt to fill the hole in her heart, Emi mistakenly invites a monster into their lives.

Kun is Emi's best friend. He is patient, loving, and a bit of a doormat.

A doormat that suddenly turns into a stud after drinking foxtail's tea.

Sadly, Emi wasn't as lucky.

After helping out a man whom they shouldn't have gotten involved with, they are introduced into the spirit world. A world that runs a lot like the Yakusa world, except everyone here is a Yokai.
